The world needs compassionate, ethical counselors and social workers. In the Department of Counseling and Social Work, faculty prepare bachelor level social workers and master level clinical mental health counselors for a lifetime of serving others. Both programs are grounded in respect for human and Catholic values and infuse these values throughout the curriculum.
The Social Work Program is staffed by faculty who have spent their careers working in a broad range of social service agencies and settings and social work education. Using the skills, knowledge, and values of the profession of social work, they offer professional and academic expertise to prepare students to work with individuals, families, groups, organizations and communities in a broad range of practice fields.
The Clinical Mental Health Counseling Program faculty have decades of professional experience helping individuals, couples, and families with life struggles and mental health concerns. They train students in the best, contemporary and evidence-based clinical techniques for helping people improve their relationships and make life-fulfilling choices.
