“As a hospice social worker, I have the honor of serving those at the end of their earthly journey. Because of my faith and education, I am able to embrace those I serve as the faces of Christ. There are many challenges to being a social worker as we exist in a broken world but approaching each situation with the love God shares assists in bringing peace even during the most difficult moments. The goal of our hospice care team is to bring comfort for both our patients and their loved ones.”
“The practical lessons from my classes and internships equipped me to collaborate and ultimately serve others during times of need. I’ve never encountered a community like that of the social work program at Franciscan and I cherish the support and education I received as it helped mold me into the social worker I am today.”
