“I graduated with the class of 2021 and continued on to get my masters through The Catholic University of America in 2022. Since graduation and licensure, I have been blessed with the opportunity to serve the residents of Steubenville and other local districts at Change Inc., a community action agency that serves northern West Virginia, Ohio, as well as surrounding communities providing various programs and services to those in need. I am currently a practicing therapist at one of our family medical care centers and a local elementary school.”
“I find that working in the helping profession is a daily challenge of the heart and mind, but those challenges are always accompanied by a deep sense of fulfillment and joy. It is a privilege to serve my community and the families in it. When I look back, I am so grateful for my professors and mentors at FUS that guided and empowered me during my time in undergrad to dig deep and challenge myself. This field of work takes courage and continuous support. As a clinician in mental health, I am particularly grateful for the formation I received in philosophy, as well as the many hours we spent in the classroom discussing professional ethics and best practices. Without it, I would not have the footing and intellectual rigor I need to carry into my counseling room each day.”
