Alice Flanagan ’18
Nursing
Alice Flanagan is a nurse in the surgical/neuroscience intensive care unit at Boston Medical Center. Flannagan works closely with a team of healthcare professionals to help patients recover from strokes, car accidents, surgery, and other medical conditions. Working 12-hour shifts, she manages life-sustaining medical equipment and complex treatments while advocating for the needs of patients and their families. Flanagan says her Franciscan education helps her combine the science of healing the human body with the art of caring for the human person. As a student, she went on a Lourdes mission trip, served in Chapel Ministry and helped run the American Red Cross and Nurse2Nurse clubs.
