Dr. Stephen C. Miller

Stephen Miller joined Franciscan University in 2024 and currently serves as chair of the Department of Accounting, Business Administration, and Economics. Previously, he was the Adams Bibby Chair of Free Enterprise in the Manuel H. Johnson Center for Political Economy at Troy University. From 2006 to 2015, he was on the economics faculty at Western Carolina University. His research focuses on economic inequality and labor policy and has been published in several academic journals, including Public Choice, Intelligence, Critical Review, Public Opinion Quarterly, and Economic Inquiry. He and his wife, Beth, have been married for 29 years and have six children.
